Date: 2010-10-08 01:03 pm (UTC)It's not that simple, Comrade. For me, it was... familiar. Something my entire life before coming here was designed to compliment. I never had a... a template for things like empathy, or friendship, or guilt, or happiness that comes from anything other than a job well done, before I came here, and since I came here and those things have begun to emerge in me, I have found it trying.
She takes all those things away from you. I didn't like it, exactly. You're not conscious enough of pleasure to be able to like it. But it was easy, not to have any of those burdens anymore.
