Comrades, I'm concerned about the deterioration of the conditions in zero. Having seen some of the outcoming transmissions from inmates [Thank you Sandoval...], I don't feel that we can accept it as a safe or correct way of restraining anyone at the moment, and I'd like to suggest that the current occupants are relocated under guard.
[There's a short pause, then he frowns,]
Ah, am I correct in assuming that they're all basically different varieties of homicidal teenagers at the moment? Would any wardens be willing to contribute their time or their resources to temporarily guarding them elsewhere? Until either their time is served, or the Barge... escalates to a point where we need to occupy ourselves in some other way?
[Because let's be real, Comrades, it's going to get worse before it gets better...]

Date: 2013-03-05 01:16 am (UTC)[HMMMM. MAGICAL LOCKING, YOU SAY?]
...Could I ask how the magical locking would work? In the event of a fire or some other kind of hazard, would there be an easy method of release available?
And not like this exactly, but it has changed before. There've been times when individual floors have taken on specific traits and changes in design to make them more dangerous, and times when the heat, light, and power have all drained.
It usually doesn't end well.

Date: 2013-03-05 01:26 am (UTC)The primary method of release would be 'unlocking' the magical lock in place -- I would have to be present for that, or a key would have to be made to release the locks on the doors.
I expect there should be a Warden on duty regardless so the Warden in question would have to be intrusted with that key.
[ As for the rest...hrm. ]
...I see. I do believe you're correct, in that case; it does not seem feasible to leave them in a potentially dangerous situation.

How do you do the locking?

Date: 2013-03-05 01:49 am (UTC)[ Well, you're in for a treat, then, aren't you? c: ]
With magic. [ Which...probably sounds vague so: ] The spell in question would require the use of the Keyblade -- a magical item that responds only to call of its owner. Since I may or may not be present to remove the spell myself, I would have to enchant another key for that specific purpose.

Date: 2013-03-05 02:27 am (UTC)So, you can do the spell without the main magical item, but you would need to enchant some other kind of item just to open the doors?
[Prefect is nodding, this all makes about as much sense as science does to him, so he'll accept it.]
I have an additional question, although this one is more hypothetical... I was thinking... you don't think the Admiral would make any new arrivals appear in rooms we were trying to use as makeshift cells, do you?
[Warden Filter; Audio]
Date: 2013-03-05 03:09 am (UTC)A magical lock must be undone with magic. If I am not present to do it myself, someone must possess the means to do so. Enchanting a key for someone else to use would serve that purpose.
[ And that's...a really good question, Prefect. It gives him pause. ]
I would hope not.
[ But it's the Admiral, so... ]
It may be more efficient to set up a temporary place to hold them, than to scatter them in different cabins.

Date: 2013-03-08 12:18 pm (UTC)What kind of a temporary place? Like... build something ourselves?
[Warden Filter; Audio]
Date: 2013-03-09 09:38 pm (UTC)It would not be difficult to set up a structure, I think.
Perhaps on the deck.
