Alright, I can understand that. More people should follow those directions, in my opinion, but that's not quite the point of the question, so anyway.

He created the universe as a demonstration of His power, and so He could create Earth and man. He could create something in His image, and something that could grow to worship and revere Him for the glory of His creation, and His gift to them in it.
