[Prefect leaned forward to pour more vodka into Parker's mug as well. It just seemed like the right thing to do considering the circumstances.] Home. I mean, my real home, before here? It was like that. Almost. Sort of. I mean, we didn't hear each other, and there wasn't the mandatory surgery, but... we were a part of something. Something bigger than ourselves. [He closed his eyes as he talked about it, gesturing with his free hand as though he was trying to draw something tangible out of thin air. To show her exactly what it was he was missing.
