It's what this place should be. The inmates... we aren't good people. You've seen my file, you know what I was before we took industrial action, you know how easy it would have been for me to just... take that route instead of this one.
On the other barge, we all took that other route. The wardens are there to help the inmates become good people, not just to force them to follow some arbitrary law.
