[He smiles to himself -- he really wishes he could get past that, honestly. If anyone could be that man's first, he wouldn't mind it. He wonders what sorts of noises he could make him make.]

I do. [He shrugs.] It is true, what I said to him. He was not...himself. None of us were. I cannot blame a person who does not exist any more.

[Of course he was oversimplifying. Of course the person - the drone - that he had been was still in the back of his mind, throbbing like an old scar.
