[Sam sighs and doesn't throw the ring back this time. Actually he's more baffled by the fact that Prefect's holding his hands]

[Well, to Sam that was pretty odd, given Prefect's aversion to that. Still, he doesn't want to make his inmate feel bad, so perhaps it would be best to just accept the 'marriage' and wait for the flood to pass]

[Prefect nods earnestly, true he's not crazy about the whole touching thing, like, at all, but this isn't so bad, really. It's Sam, and... he's not really feeling threatened by the contact at least for now, so for now, it's mostly okay.]
